About Me

Hi, I'm Patrick Attankurugu

I'm an experienced AI Developer and Innovator dedicated to leveraging artificial intelligence to address some of Africa's most critical challenges. With a background in Computer Science from the University of Ghana, I have a solid foundation in both technical and entrepreneurial aspects.

Over the course of 2022 and 2023, I participated in two business incubation programs:

• Kosmos Innovation Center: Co-founded PIGCASS, focusing on a symbiotic relationship between cassava farming and pig rearing aimed at export.
• Ghana Digital Centres Limited: Co-founded SEMA, a predictive surveillance startup using AI to proactively control crime.

I am also proud to be a participant in the Jim Leech Mastercard Foundation Fellowship on Entrepreneurship at Queen's University. Selected as one of 1000 entrepreneurs across Africa, I advanced to the Ignite Entrepreneurship stage, and recently, I was honored to be among the top 60 selected for the final phase of the program. This experience has been instrumental in honing my entrepreneurial and leadership skills.

Currently, I am the CEO of SEMA Technologies, where we leverage AI to address Africa's unique challenges and opportunities, particularly in enhancing security and operational efficiency across various sectors.

In addition to my professional endeavors, I am the President and co-founder of Restored Glory Foundation, where we are dedicated to the sustainable development of orphans and vulnerable children in Ghana. Our mission is inspired by the biblical principle of caring for orphans and widows.
